"Hello! My name is Eastman Chan and I joined Phi Sigma Pi Winter quarter of 2023. My future aspiration is to become a researcher in immunology, and I hope my admission into PSP will help with my goals! I got into immunology after watching, and then rewatching many times, a Kurzgesagt video about the immune system in 5th grade. Later, in high school, I would go on to write an analytical research paper (Extended Essay in International Baccalaureate terms) on the limitations of vaccinations for elderly immune systems. I hope to write an experimental research paper in immunology in the future!
Outside of class, I mainly listen to Touhou music. During homework or study, I’ll usually put on orchestral or piano arrangements of Touhou songs. I’ve been listening to Touhou music for close to five years now, and I can usually name the original song that an arrangement is based off of. Some favorites of mine (if it’s even possible to choose) are Dream Battle; Fraud, I Promise by Shibayan Records; and Idolatrize World. Other than music, I’ve been playing Minecraft for basically my whole life. I host survival Minecraft servers for my friends every year (and now for PSP) as well as laying claim to a 147 Hypixel Bedwars win streak.
